The purpose of a home fellowship is to dig deeper into God’s word and develop relationships based on the foundation we share in Christ Jesus.
That people meeting together in small groups would know Jesus, learn to live for Him, be encouraged to serve Him and to become more like Him, through the study and application of His Word. That the body of Christ would minister to each other and grow in their relationship with each other as they grow in their relationship with Christ.
Small Groups primarily serve 3 purposes; Sanctification, Give/receive Care, Fellowship. They are designed for application of God’s Word. Christians can only apply God’s Word effectively when it is interpreted correctly.
As this local body of Christ grows, we make intimate and lasting relationships by meeting in small groups to do life together. We desire to see God work through the small groups to continue the process of sanctification and maturity in Christ and to develop and grow relationships that are Christ-centered. As God leads, we would like to add more small groups so that people can be a part of one any day of the week and in close proximity to their residence. We would like small group servant leaders to identify and train up future leaders.
Mutual ministry – people giving and receiving care in the small group context.
Multiplication – discipleship, growing up leaders and multiplying into new groups.
“…but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18
