WHAT IS AWANA?
AWANA stands for Approved Workers Are Not Ashamed, taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.
Awana Clubs are an exciting opportunity for our children ages 4-12 to benefit spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally from each weekly meeting. Our Awana clubs offers a positive, loving atmosphere. Through Awana, our children can develop their social skills such as sharing, listening and relating to others. Through achievement and awards, our children will gain a sense of accomplishment that leads to future successes in all areas of life. The heart of Awana is its biblical stand that stresses the preeminence of the Word of God. The great Scripture verses on salvation and Christian growth are the core of all the Awana achievements.

CAN I BE A PARENT HELPER AT AWANA CLUB?
ABSOLUTELY! We want and encourage parents to get involved!
At CCS AWANA Clubs, our full time team is made up of parents, grandparents, guardians, and loving individuals who are volunteering their time to make AWANA Clubs possible. Without our full time volunteer team, AWANA Clubs at CCS would not be possible.
We ALSO strongly believe in the power of parent involvement. It creates an atmosphere of unity, shows the kids we are all here for them, helps you to understand your child’s growth, and so many more amazing benefits. This is why as a parent or guardian of an AWANA Clubber we request that you commit to volunteering as a Parent Helper 2 times during the AWANA year. On the child registration form you will be asked to select two dates when you can come in to volunteer in your child’s class.
We also need full time Adult AWANA Team volunteers! If you are interested in volunteering for the entire AWANA year you can register as a volunteer by clicking the link on our main Children’s Ministry webpage, or by using the link in our mobile app.
IS THERE A CALENDAR OF EVENTS?
So glad you asked! Yes there is! Printed copies of our calendar and Parent Handbook will be given out on the first night of AWANA or when you receive your first AWANA Supplies.
ARE AWANA CLUB NIGHTS THEMED?
Yes they are and it is SO much fun! We have a theme for every AWANA club night of the year that is posted on an A-Frame sign in front of the baptistery. Some themes are just for fun such as our Crazy Hair/Hat night, others are focused on helping others such as our Operation Christmas Child night and Food Drive night.
We aim to make each theme fun and meaningful for the children.
